See how to better protect your firm at the 2016 Security Expo

If achieving higher levels of security and guaranteeing the best possible protection for your staff and assets is a priority for your business, consider paying a visit to London's Olympia exhibition centre to be part of a global event starting this month.

The venue will host the UK Security Expo 2016 from November 30th to December 1st. it will bring together over 8,000 end-users of security from around the world, as well as dozens of foreign government delegations and exhibitors from the industry.

Private-sector businesses will be well represented at the event, along with organisations from the transport, intelligence, defence and law enforcement communities.

One of the most interesting and informative elements of the expo will be the line-up of conferences and workshops, which will provide numerous insights and guidance for business leaders and facilities managers.

Included on the schedule this year is an immersive demonstration exploring the theme of 'securing crowded places', which will use the Olympia itself as the location to be protected and showcase a number of innovative technologies and techniques.

The demonstration will comprise three linked zones in and close to the entrance to the venue, where industry and government experts will explore the various issues associated with this aspect of security.

Admiral Lord West, former UK security minister and chairman of the UK Security Expo, said: "I am thrilled to see the combined efforts of the Joint Security and Resilience Centre with the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure to use the venue of UK Security Expo as an immersive demonstration of 'Securing Crowded Places'. I think this shows real commitment from government to partner with industry and support the growth of the security sector."

Peter Jones, chief executive of Nineteen Events, said the showcase will underline the importance of modern technology, good design and efficient use of human resources to maximise security in crowded places.
He added: "We are delighted to have the support of London Olympia to bring this exciting initiative to UK Security Expo."

This will be one of many stand-out events at this year's show. Other highlights to look out for include a series of technology workshops and live demonstrations exploring the latest innovations, training and consultancy that could help you keep your business secure.

All sorts of topics will be covered, including perimeter and intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, surveillance and communications.

Gaining more information and guidance about subjects like these can put you in a stronger position to decide what sort of protection your company requires and how to deliver it in the most effective way possible.

You can also improve your understanding of security threats, challenges and solutions by consulting with a professional security provider. This could give you stronger insights into the nature of dedicated solutions - such as manned guarding and mobile security - and how they could benefit your organisation.
