Key holding services: The benefits

If you are establishing new security measures in your office buildings, there are many considerations to bear in mind that you may not have even thought of before.

After hiring a team of manned security professionals, as well as some mobile guards, you may want to consider committing to key holding services.

This can offer you total peace of mind with regard to the security and safety of your premises when all other members of staff might be off site.

After a long day at the office, you probably will not want to  have to make an impromptu return a few hours later just because an alarm has been activated.

Not only will this be unwelcome in the event of false alarms, it is also unlikely you're going to want to deal with issues such as vandalism or even a break in - especially if it is in the early hours of the morning.

Key holding: How does it work?

We can offer professional and fully-trained Security Industry Authority-licensed officers, who will be on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A set of your keys will be safeguarded at all times, which you will be able to access whenever you need.

This means that if your keys get lost, forgotten or even stolen, you can rest assured that an extra set will be on hand in one of our monitored vehicles.

These will be kept extra secure in a coded and lockable key cabinets - so you will have absolutely no need to worry about these going missing from this location.

All you have to do is simply call and a response team member will be with you promptly. Additional security measures may be taken in the event of an alarm going off out-of-hours.

What about alarm response?

Response to alarm activation involves connecting the security system of your premises to a back-up monitoring station. This makes it possible for our staff to deal with any emergency, as per your requirements.

One of our officers will be despatched to your site as soon as possible and be tasked with performing both internal and external checks, to ensure the premises are fully secure. The member of staff can remain there as long as necessary.

What are the benefits of using an external key holding service?

You may feel that you do not necessarily need to arrange a key holding with an external company, or that this can be provided in-house.

However, there are several benefits to this approach that cannot be enjoyed with a policy of internal key holding.

For instance, you will not necessarily have to be woken up in the middle of the night to address an alarm activation. Not only does this disrupt your sleeping pattern, but it can also have a knock-on effect on your own work, as you may not be able to be as productive as usual.

There is also the potential issue of delayed responses invalidating an insurance claim - and having an external key holding and alarm response service will negate the worry of ensuring a response during sickness or holiday cover.
